Make sure you copy this file to a USB device. The file should be located jvm.dll in the root folder (the folder which opens when you double-click your USB device in This PC). Visit this link and locate the latest version of BIOS available for your setup. Make sure you enter relevant information about your setup in order to find the required file. Can you access the firmware, or is this error preventing that to be possible.
Cmos Checksum Bad – Date Time Not Set
My only suggestion would be to flash the firmware. Read on section 2.1.4, Recovering the BIOS with CrashFree BIOS2. Burn both files (AMI and ROM and the AFUDOS program to CD and let CrashFree BIOS do its thing. And don’t try it if you have electrical storms in the area, or are likely to get power cuts/outages.

As this procedure, if not done right would render your pc inoperative, although very remote. As dbarker suggested please post as much detail as requested.
- If one of your voltage rails from the PSU is bad, it can wipe CMOS memory contents.
- Get a hardware monitor and let it run to watch voltage ranges.
- The chip itself, mainboard tracings or circuitry leading to it could go bad or be defective.
The user or a virus may have updated the BIOS. If the CMOS has become corrupted, enter the correct values in CMOS setup and save and exit the CMOS.
